Consumer preferences for healthier foods have been a boon for the global functional food industry, projected to grow at a 7.39% CAGR through 2020. This trend has been especially pronounced in China, with an aging population, as companies from around the world are scrambling to gain a foothold in the Chinese market.

In the wake of these developments, and following six years of successful events, Duxes will host the 7th China International Nutraceutical and Functional Food Summit 2017 on November 15-17 in Beijing. The summit will feature speakers from across the functional food industry representing regulatory agencies, research institutions, and leading companies, to discuss product R&D, market trends, government policies, and other important issues.

The event will commence with a half-day special on special dietary foods on the afternoon of November 15th. The special will cover such topics as dietary drinks, comprehensive nutrition for medical conditions, national standards for special dietary foods, and market trends.

The following two days will address China-specific phenomena, including the effects of cross-border e-commerce on the functional food market, relevant health food regulations, and products categories with high potential for growth such as sports nutrition. Other presentations will detail product development, marketing, and applications for innovative raw materials and additives.

The 7th China International Nutraceutical and Functional Food Summit 2017 strives to follow the success of Duxes’ ongoing functional foods event series, by shedding light on market conditions and innovative practices in the industry. Professionals working for food, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical companies, or in related fields, are invited to attend.
