Singapore, 29 June 2016– Vitafoods Asia, the only event dedicated to the nutraceutical, functional food and beverages, and dietary supplement industries in Asia, today announces a series of learning activities that have been specially organised for the 2016 edition. Returning for its sixth edition, Vitafoods Asia will take place from 1 - 2 September 2016 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong.

Mr Chris Lee, Portfolio Director, Vitafoods Events, commented on the various education initiatives available at the show, “Vitafoods Asia is more than just a trade event – instead, we see ourselves as a hub that promotes knowledge-sharing and networking, both of which facilitate business deals for the industry. For the 2016 show, we worked hard at designing a robust educational programme that offers visitors an engaging experience that helps them meet business challenges.”

Vitafoods Asia Conference - Bridging the Gap Between Science and Industry

Headlining the series of learning activities, the Vitafoods Asia Conference returns for the third time, boasting a refreshed format with new content offering. Connecting Science and Business, the conference runs alongside the main exhibition and provides delegates with a platform to learn about industry innovations, trends, and regulations, all while facilitating new business partnerships.

The 2016 Conference brings together some of the leading names within academia and industry, and is officially supported by and co-developed with Food Industry Asia (FIA), the International Society of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods (ISNFF), and research consultancy Frost & Sullivan. Featuring over 30 industry experts, the two-day agenda will focus on applied science for the purpose of successful product development and business growth strategies.

Delegates can expect to hear and gain insights from esteemed industry experts across various segments and job functions, including leading academics of renowned institutes and representatives from distinguished companies and industry associations. Within each category, as part of a newly introduced ‘Industry Success Story’ segment, a representative from a market-leading business will also be invited to share industry best practices.

Focusing on applied science, the conference also includes in-depth presentation sessions that highlights best practice across product development and marketing in Asia. Significant focus will also be placed on understanding consumer preferences and how to apply this to product development strategies.
