On the last day of the World Avocado Congress in Medellin it was announced that New Zealand would host the next edition in 2023. They won the vote against stiff competition from Mexico and Kenya.
Juan David Mondragn, president of the Organizing Committee of the Congress, announced the result during the closing ceremony.
