Bad weather veg shortage pushes prices nationwide

Bad weather is to blame for the shortage of leafy vegetables around the US and now consumers are being faced with rising prices as a result.

As well as leafy veg, broccoli and cauliflower are also in short supply.

Retailers are assuring customers that price issue is a short term one, only resulting from this year's bad weather in California, where most of this type of vegetable is grown.

They expect lettuce to return to normal prices in around one week, though some types of produce may ta
