The Norwegian Seafood Councils latest numbers from January indicate a boost in the value of Norwegian seafood exports over this time in 2012, due in parts to increased export volume.
January seafood exports had a total value of NOK 4.8 billion (USD 865.6 million, EUR 648 million), a 15 percent increase over the value recorded in January of last year, according to council figures.
The growth seen in January is due primarily to an increase in exports of Norwegian Salmon, said Egil Ove Sundheim,
