A radiant fryer developed by a food scientist at PurdueUniversity, West Lafayette, Indiana, could revolutionize the fastfood industry by enabling it to cook food that retains itsfried flavor and consistency but has up to 50% less fat andfewer calories than food cooked using conventional methods.
