Report Gives School Failing Grade For Snacks, Beverage Options

Results of a new study conducted by the Kids Safe and Healthful Foods Project, a joint initiative of The Pew Charitable Trusts and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, reveals the majority of U.S. secondary schools dont sell fruits and vegetables in school stores, snack bars, or vending machines, and there is tremendous state-to-state variability in the types of snack foods and beverages available in the schools.
