William Grant Sons is to launch three new expressions of The Balvenie single malt Scotch whiskey in duty-free and travel-retail in April 2013.
The Balvenie Triple Cask expressions include 12yo, 16yo and 25yo. Created by malt master David Stewart, all the three expressions have been bottled at 40% ABV and matured in three traditional types of casks - first-fill bourbon, refill bourbon and sherry - in a large wooden vessel known as marrying tun.
