Nestlé to invest in medical nutrition plant

Nestl will invest in excess of AUS$17 million in a new ready-to-drink medical supplement manufacturing facility in Australia.

A range of medical nutrition products will be made at the site in Tongala, Victoria for Nestl Health Science, a fully owned subsidiary of Nestl set up in January 2011. Nestls medical nutrition products are designed to help manage health conditions such as diabetes, renal disorders and malnutrition.

The newly-built extension, which will create 30 jobs, will also produce
