The Food and Drug Administration announced on Friday that the updated food facility registration system will be available starting today, October 23. Although facilities may register online, via mail or by fax, FDA encourages online registration as a quick and efficient process.
We recommend that dairy companies consider waiting a few days at least to let the rush die down and any potential glitches can be worked out, said Clay Detlefsen, IDFA vice president of regulatory affairs.
