Brazil and Argentina mend trade fences

r main partners reached a record 39.6 billion dollars in 2011, with a surplus for Brazil of 5.8 billion dollars.

However Brazilian exports to Argentina, the countrys third trade partner behind China and the US, dropped 20% between January and August because of restrictions, hurdles and counter measures imposed reciprocally. In the same period Argentine exports to Brazil contracted 7%.
