Cranswick begins £10M factory build to create 150 jobs

Meat firm Cranswick has begun the construction of a new 10M factory in Yorkshire that will create 150 jobs.

The facility in Norton, North Yorkshire is set to open in April 2013.

As revealed by FoodManufacture.co.uk in August, the new site will manufacture premium meat-based pastry products in collaboration with pasty and pie manufacturer Yorkshire Baker.

Yorkshire Baker will expand production of its existing lines and introduce new lines to meet growing demand for its products.
