Albertsons, a part of the Supervalu family of grocery stores, has extended the recall of ground beef products imported from Canada to US by XL foods voluntarily. The recall was made over E.coli contamination.
The beef products were sold in all stores in Washington and Oregon, as well as three stores in Northern Idaho: Coeur D Alene, Hayden and Lewiston.
Albertsons initiated the recall after Interstate Meat Distributors informed Albertsons that certain products distributed to it in these areas
