Fresh Del Monte Produce recalls fresh-cut mangoes over Salmonella risk

Fresh Del Monte Produce, a US-based manufacturer of fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, is voluntarily recalling 1,600 bowls of fresh-cut mangoes due to possible Salmonella contamination, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This recall is associated with FoodSource's recall of mangoes sourced from Agricola Daniella in Mexico.

The affected product was distributed between 8 September and 12 September 2012 in the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina,
