Michigan issues health alert over Turner Cheese dairy products

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) has issued a consumer adviser for products manufactured by Turner Cheese, a dairy firm based in Whittemore, Michigan.

The health alert includes the following products: Co-jack, Cheddar, Jalapeno Cheddar, and Garlic Herb cheese and cheese curds.

MDARD noted that the milk the cheese was made from was deemed unfit for human consumption because it was held at 63 degrees F for an extended time. This can allow a proliferation of ba
