Kroger issues multi-state recall of spinach items in US

The Kroger Family of Stores is recalling spinach items across 15 states in the US, as they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The product being recalled is Kroger Fresh Selections Tender Spinach 10 ounce packages (UPC: 0001111091649) with a 'best if used by' date of 16 September. Kroger noted that the product was supplied by NewStar Fresh Foods.
