The harvest of onions at Premium Fresh is almost done for the year, the harvest conditions have been very good except for a some rain in the last few days.
We would have harvested most of our onions without a rain on them but the rain in the last week has slowed things up , said Jim Ertler from Premium Fresh in Tasmania. That said the rain wont have any impact on the quality of the onions as we have had hardly any rain during the main harvest.
