According to an analysis by Hortoinfo, last year, Spain exported 629.27 million kilos of tomatoes at an average price of 1.75/kg, the highest price in the last ten years. However, between 2013 and 2022, Spain's tomato export volume fell by 38.71%.
Last year Germany was Spain's leading tomato buyer, as the country purchased 172.27 million kilos of Spanish tomatoes for 334.85 million euros and an average price of 1.94/kg.
It was followed by France with 83.07 million kilos worth 123.26 million
