PepsiCo commissions India's largest greenfield plant worth Rs 81.4 mln

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated the largest greenfield potato chips plant from PepsiCo in India, at Mathura. The project called for an investment of Rs 81.4 mln (977,000). The PepsiCo unit in Kosi Kalan, Mathura, will procure 150,000 tons of locally grown potatoes. This will benefit more than 5,000 farmers and create 1,500 direct and indirect job opportunities.

The company will also commission a state-of-the-art cold storage warehouse for an improved supply chain. T
