Spanish cucumber exports to the European Union have registered steady growth since 2017. According to data prepared by Hortoinfo from the Euroestacom statistical service, in 2020 Spain exported 531.56 million kilos of cucumbers to the community market, i.e. 22.54% more than in 2017.
In contrast, the Netherlands exported 334.32 million kilos to the EU in 2020, i.e. 6.99% less than in 2017.
In recent years, Spanish cucumbers sold in the EU have been more expensive than those from the Netherlands
