The Department of Agriculture from the Philippines has reported that the total damage and losses due to Supertyphoon Rolly is now at P 2.94 billion (53 mln). The agency said the damage and losses affected 31,496 farmers and 65,999 hectares of agricultural areas as November 4th.
Some 125,664 tons of production has been lost; the affected commodities include rice, corn, abaca, high value crops (assorted vegetables, cassava, banana and other fruit trees), livestock and agri-facilities in Central L
