Uncle's Kitchen, Malad West's well-known Chinese restaurant, turns 25

menu comprised just 12-15 dishes, including Chicken Chilli (minus the batter coating) and Chicken Lollypop. The brothers claim their father was the inventor of the former. It now boasts of about 250 items.


Incidentally, the restaurant is named after Gregory D'Souza, a social worker in Orlem, who was referred to as Uncle by everyone in the vicinity. He passed away in the mid-1980s, shortly before the restaurant was established.
