Food inflation in Pakistan on the decline

According to its Finance Division, the Pakistani government is taking aggressive measures to control essential commodities' prices by eliminating major contributory factors to price increase. The food inflation in the country witnessed a decline in the month of December, the Finance Division said on Tuesday.

In a series of tweets, Finance Division spokesperson Omar Hamid Khan shared data, saying food inflation declined by 1.7 percent month-on-month (MoM) for urban and -1.1pc for rural consumers
