Government survey okays Brazilian produce for pesticide residues

According to the survey, compliance with safe levels is increasing, rising from 85% in 2015 to 92% in 2018.

Over the four-year testing period, PNCRC took a total of 4,828 samples of 42 different products of plant origin, including fruit, vegetables, nuts, roasted coffee, wine, beans, soy, and black pepper.

The Federal Agricultural Defense Laboratories analyzed the samples using a multi-residue pesticide method that analyzes over 200 active ingredients and can be expanded to over 300.
