Sugar Creek to invest $28.5m to upgrade food facility in US

US food company Sugar Creek Packing plans to invest $28.5m to expand and upgrade a 77,000ft plant in Cambridge City, Indiana, which was formerly owned by Really Cool Foods.

The plant, located in Indiana Gateway Industrial Park, Wayne Country, was closed by Really Cool Foods in November 2011, after the company unsuccesfully tried to sell the business. The plant closure led to a loss of 130 jobs.
