Denmark issued two alerts after detecting chlorpyrifos in Spanish clementines

The Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has reported two alerts issued by the Danish authorities on December 16 and 18, after having detected the presence of chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl in clementines imported from Spain. Both alerts have taken place after the organophosphorus pesticide chlorpyrifos was banned by the European Commission on December 6 because of how dangerous it was.

The Clementines referred to in the alert arrived on December 16 in Denmark through Germany and
