The Australian Department of Agriculture has considered the biosecurity risks for Australia associated with the importation of commercially produced fresh avocado fruit for human consumption from Chile.
Currently, the importation of fresh avocado fruit for human consumption is permitted into Australia only from New Zealand, provided it meets Australian biosecurity import conditions. This final report recommends that the importation of fresh avocado fruit to Australia from all commercial product
