Asda is moving its entire steak range into 100% recyclable cardboard trays, the retailer confirmed this week.
This will result in the removal of over 23 million black plastic trays each year across its entire Extra Special, Butchers Selection and Farm Stores lines, saving around 700 tonnes of plastic annually.
The move follows positive response from consumers after the retailer moved its Extra Special Aberdeen Angus steak range into recyclable packaging.
