US FDA now permits use of ultra- low gossypol cottonseed as human food

The US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) has given the green light to ultra-low gossypol cottonseed, ULGCS, to be utilised as human food and in animal feed, something Texas AM AgriLife researchers have been working on for nearly 25 years.
