It is pertinent to mention here that recently a meeting was held at the Ministry of Consumer Affairs of officials from BIS, FSSAI and Jal Shakti Ministry to deliberate upon the standards for tap water, wherein it was informed that the BIS has been working on the subject and soon the work will be completed.
