Valeo Foods Group has acquired the Mathew Walker Christmas puddings business from 2 Sisters Food Group for 67 million.
Based in Derbyshire, the business is credited as being the worlds oldest Christmas pudding maker.
The deal adds another name to Valeo Foods Group portfolio if 68 international food brands which includes Jacobs, Rowse and Balconi.
