PepsiCo to reduce virgin plastic in beverage portfolio

PepsiCo is accelerating its plastic waste reduction efforts by committing to reduce 35% of virgin plastic content across its beverage portfolio by 2025.

The amount announced by the beverage giant amounts to around 2.5 million metric tonnes of cumulative virgin plastic.

To achieve this aim, the company said it will increase the use of recycled content and alternative packaging in its beverage brands which includes Life Water.
