Fruit and vegetable prices rising due to floods

Floods in Maharashtra and northern districts of Karnataka are resulting in the rise of fruit and vegetable prices in Bengaluru.

Padmaraj T., who is in-charge of a HOPCOMS outlet in Indiranagar, told that vegetable prices have started increasing, especially of onions and tomatoes, as they come to the city from Maharashtra. The current price of onions and tomatoes is rising as well, since last week. Prices of lemon and pomegranate, which the city gets from Vijayapura, will also rise as the region
