Barry Callebaut brakes ground on Indian chocolate factory

Barry Callebaut has broken ground at its new chocolate and compound manufacturing facility in Baramati, India.

Once built, the new factory and warehouse will boast state-of-the-art assembly lines, which will be capable of manufacturing chocolate and compound in different delivery formats.

It will also be equipped with an RD lab, the Swiss cocoa giant said.

The site representing the companys biggest investment in India to date will cover 20,000 m2 and is expected to be operation by mid-2020.
