Reasonable fruit prices attract customers in Nilphamari district

350 hectares, pineapple on eight hectares, jackfruit on 515 hectares, and mangoes on 1,295 hectares.

Most of the yield was secured from Sadar, Domar, Dimla, Jaldhaka, Kishorganj and Syedpur sub-districts. The use of advanced technologies has certainly raised the yields, said DAE Deputy Director Md Abul Kashem Azad. He added that there is, however, a great need for fruit preservation facilities in the district.
