Markel Ventures has acquired a majority interest in US-based Reading Bakery Systems and affiliated entities for an undisclosed amount.
Reading Bakery Systems, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, designs and manufactures industrial baking systems for the production of crackers, pretzels, cookies, and other baked snacks.
Reading Bakery Systems will join the Markel family of industrial bakery equipment businesses - AMF Bakery Systems and Tromp Bakery Equipment.
The companies will now be collectively
