EFSA issues new EU phosphates limits advice, warns that safe levels may be being exceeded

The agency is calling for a group acceptable daily intake [ADI] of 40mg per kilogram of body weight [mg/kg bw] per day, noting that food additives indicatively only contribute between 6-30 percent of the total average intake of phosphorus.
