1. Coffee and heart disease: Research presented in November 2017 at the American Heart Associations Scientific Sessions linked drinking coffee to a lower risk of heart failure, coronary heart disease and stroke. Researchers said drinking coffee led to a decreased risk of developing heart failure by 7 percent and stroke by 8 percent with every additional cup of coffee consumed per week compared with non-coffee drinkers, according to
