Eating more fruits and vegetables could delay age-related cataracts

A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition had researchers study the connection between vitamins, carotenoids, and cataracts.

35% of all blindness in the world can be contributed to age-related cataracts. Many have opted to have cataract extraction surgery to restore vision, but this will cost upwards of $5.7 billion dollars between 2010 and 2020.

Due to this alarming rate, researchers evaluated the link between nutrients and cataracts to determine any nutritional risk factor
