Brewing bigwig Heineken has opened its first brewery in Mozambique following a $100 million investment.
Located in the province of Maputo, the new brewery will have a production capacity of 0.8 million hectolitres.
The facility has already begun production of Txilar, a new beer specifically made for the Mozambique market, made with local maize grown.
It will also offer international brands including Heineken, Amstel and Strongbow.
