Tomatoes may help reduce risk of liver cancer

A recent study, published in the journal Cancer Prevention Research, states that eating tomatoes could be associated with a decreased risk of liver cancer caused by high-fat diets.

The various health benefits of tomatoes has come to the fore after a study was conducted on mice which showed that tomatoes, rich in lycopene a strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer agent- help in effectively reducing fatty liver disease, inflammation and liver cancer development.
