BG Foods is voluntarily recalling 1,280 cases of a single date code of 40 ounce jars of their Victoria Marinara Sauce, because the product may contain cashew (nut) allergens that are not declared on the label. Nuts are one of the eight major food allergens the government has specified. One person has reported an allergic reaction after eating the sauce. This product is not harmful to anyone who is not allergic to tree nuts.
The recalled product is Victoria Marinara Sauce in 40 ounce containers.
