The Chinese Society of Nutrition recommends daily iodine intake: 90 ug for children under 10 years old, 120ug for adults, 230-240ug for pregnant women and lactating mothers. Because of the iodine content of 4323ug in 100 g laver, the maximum daily iodine intake recommended for children aged 4-6 years and 300 mg for children aged 7-10 years was 200 mg.
