The RTE Red Hot chicken and pork sausage items were produced on 29 November 2018 and bear the establishment number EST P-9156S inside the USDA mark of inspection and were shipped to retail locations across the country.
L Zeigler identified the issue after receiving complaints from consumers on 13 and 27 December 2018 and notified the US Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on 29 December.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to
