Australian researchers to initiate project to develop healthier pasta

The University's ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Cell Walls is initiating two projects in September 2012, which are aimed at improving the levels of healthy soluble fiber in durum wheat - which is commonly used to make pasta.
Both the projects will be conducted at the University's Waite Campus.
The first project, which will be conducted in collaboration with the University of Bari, Italy, will look at the impact of growth of durum wheat on the fiber and starch levels within it, and ways to inc
