FSSAI has decided to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales ) Regulations, 2011, with respect to the sale of artificial sweeteners through vending machines.
The countrys apex food regulator decided to put a clause in the regulations that sought the labelling of such machines and cups through which products containing artificial sweeteners were served.
