In 2017-2018, the balance between supply and demand which characterised the carrot market both in Italy and Europe facilitated an acceptable stability for the campaign prices. During this 2018, we are witnessing a supply drop, in contrast with 2016-2017. This is caused by the reduced surfaces and by the climate anomalies: unprecedented cold during winter (Northern Europe) and unprecedented heat during summer (Southern Europe).
