DuPont held responsible for pesticide residue in grapes

The Nashik District Consumer Complaints and Redressal Forum has held a pesticides company responsible for the rejection of Indian grapes in the international market because of chemical residues were found in the fruit.

E.I. DuPont India Limited has been ordered to pay Rs870,000 (11,000) in compensation to the two farmers, for losses sustained in their export business. The company has sold its product to the farmer saying it would have maximum residue level of 0.01 mg per kg. That is why the far
