Mediocre quality of Mexican limes as a result of rain

The lime prices are back at a normal level as a result of a lack of volume from Brazil. The restart of the Brazilian harvest starts next week and we expect a stable price until the end of December and from then on, says Lieve Michielsen of Special Fruit. At the moment Mexico is still on the market, but we have to keep an eye on the quality as a result of the heavy rain in the country. Towards the end of December the Mexican volume will lessen and Brazil will begin to pull up in volume.
