The West Bengal government has issued a blanket ban on importing seed potatoes, particularly from Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir owing to presence of potato Cyst Nematode (globodera rostochinensis G. Pallaid) in the produce.
